Spotswood Swim Lessons
Cost:
- Members = $45 per group session
- Non Members = $55 per group session
- Payment must be in the form of cash or check and is due on or before the first day of lessons
Session Dates:
- Session 1: June 16, 17, 19, 20 (No Wednesday Lesson)
- Session 2: June 23, 24, 26, 27 (No Wednesday Lesson)
- Session 3: July 7, 8, 10, 11 (No Wednesday Lesson)
- Session 4: July 14, 15, 17, 18 (No Wednesday Lesson)
Session Types:
Beginners: 6pm - 6:30pm
- Minimum Class Requirement: Be separate from parent for 30 mins and be comfortable in the water
- Focus: Become comfortable in the water and submersion in the water. Streamline body position and forward propulsion
- Intermediary Goal: Submerge independently for three seconds. Jump from side, kick to surface, and streamline kick for five meters
- Level Completion Requirement: Submerge head under water for five seconds Front and back float without support for five seconds
Advanced Beginners: 6:45pm - 7:15pm
- Minimum Class Requirement: Able to kick for ten meters with face in the water
- Focus: Side breathing and introduction of backstroke
- Intermediary Goal: Tread water for 30 seconds. Jump from side and swim freestyle with side breathing 12.5 meters
- Level Completion Requirement: Tread water for one minute. Jump in deep end and swim half a lap of freestyle with side breathing, rest, and finish the lap in the same manner
Adults Only: 6:45pm - 7:15pm
We will NOT be holding daytime lessons.
All sessions are 4 days per week
If these times do not work for you/your family, and you are interested in private lessons, contact the pool. The cost for private lessons is different from group lessons; times are dependent upon instructor availability.
*Children must be 3 years or older and must be potty trained.
*A minimum of 3 persons are required for each session.
*Please sign up by the Thursday BEFORE the session is set to begin.
*In the event of inclement weather, we will attempt to notify you as soon as possible if the pool is closing. A makeup lesson will be scheduled at a later date or another lesson may be extended.
